Nature is a Maths Geek:
This is a beautiful, haunting video. I have many times tried to articulate ideas such as this. Enjoy the wonders of nature..and maths!
Mike Seyfang: QandA Listen to Science "DeNile" Mix:
Mike Seyfang mashes up the science video contribution to QandA from myself and Hilary Coleman, along with Clive Hamilton, Nick Minchin and some rather *frank* twitter tweets. Watch the video to see some heated debate and explore the links between some hot topics: climate science, coal and tobacco. Use this to make your own mash up! To get some ideas and see Mikes other mash ups, visit his BlipTv page.
cbsquareds' Corri Baker and lab buddy Hilary Coleman get their 40 seconds of fame on ABC's Q & A:
Our question is to the panel: Why do politicians refuse to listen to the science of climate change?

"You are entitled to your own opinions, but you are not entitled to your own facts": The Danger of Science Denial
Did you know that taking herbal supplements and vitamins could just be giving you very expensive wee? That's not necessarily a very dangerous thing in itself. But there are many ways that you could be putting yourself and your family at risk if you don't use science to make your decisions.
Bonnie Bassler on how bacteria "talk"
Did you know that you have 10 times as many bacterial cells in or on your body than human cells?
Bonnie Bassler discovered that bacteria "talk" to each other using a chemical language - molecules are the "words". This language enables the bacteria to coordinate defense and mount attacks.
Green chemistry, also called sustainable chemistry, is the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. Whereas environmental chemistry is the chemistry of the natural environment, and of pollutant chemicals in nature, green chemistry seeks to reduce and prevent pollution at its source.
